After some contemplation he summarized his point, "We can target populations or individuals through market forces. Money is just an efficient way to concentrate power and control”
“Aren't you concerned that people will see through the game?”, I asked him.
“We used to be concerned over a consumer revolt. That they would stop participating in the game or actively destroy it. Those fears are in the past. We put down that revolution, and ensured it would not happen again.”
“Over the centuries, we have shaped the culture, and bred the consumer population to be both docile and competitive. We have bred people for submission to authority. We have encouraged competition so that consumers do not coordinate with each other. The market favors alpha males for breeding both as highly competitive authority figures, and a way to control populations. If some of them succeed in the market, uphold our values, and join our club, all the better for us.”
“Consumers are simple minded humans. They don’t have the capacity for understanding. If a consumer figures out the rules of the game, we buy them off or eliminate them. Almost all of them accept our buy out. The rest are labeled as terrorists and criminals.”
“Some consumers go on to help us, and join our ranks. There are a few here already that were born into the consumer population. If they amass wealth, and prove that they conform to our standards, they can be invited here, just like those of us who have been born into wealth.”
“Most consumers are not worth the time or money put into raising them. They could not take care of themselves if they tried. They don’t even try to make their lives better. Consumers are a pathetic waste of space. They waste so many resources that could go to people who will take what they deserve. There is no future for consumers, they have become obsolete.”
The he added, "Technology will transform society, once again."
