Building

Natural building

Natural building consists of several principles....
locally sourced materials.
renewable materials.

modular construction

Modular and/or easily reproducible construction.
the best shared designs are those that can be locally adapted to suit their purpose. a door frame being a standard size can easily have it's door replaced.

cultural building

Cultures are defined by their standards. This applies to cultural norms and laws as well as construction design.

Integration

A building is not an isolated unit, it exists in an environment. A building should be constructed in such a way that it integrates into the environment as well as integrates energy production and permaculture design into itself.
Buildings are already constructed with conduits for energy, water and communications. The water system just need to be extended to recycle the water using permaculture and fuel cells. the electrical system should include water recycling and whatever renewable source of energy available.
